TAP1 Kløverbyen, located in Amager, Copenhagen, is a shining example of urban transformation and adaptive reuse. Following its successful tenure at the Carlsberg district, the TAP1 team embarked on a new journey, reviving the old distilleries on Amager to create a cultural venue and concert hall.

The transformation of the historic distillery buildings into TAP1 Kløverbyen was undertaken with the same approach to preserving industrial heritage while meeting contemporary needs. This venue retained the original architectural features, such as exposed tilework and concrete structures, while integrating facilities to host a wide range of events. The result is a versatile space that blends the charm of the past with the functionality required for modern events.

With a capacity to accommodate thousands of attendees, TAP1 Kløverbyen has quickly become a hub for cultural activities, including concerts, exhibitions, and various gatherings.

The role of TAP1 in Kløverbyen has been pivotal in the broader redevelopment of the area, transforming it from an industrial zone into a urban cultural and business district. This project highlights the potential of adaptive reuse in urban planning, demonstrating how old industrial sites can be revitalized to serve contemporary cultural and economic purposes.

Remarkably, this project was also accomplished with small funds, showcasing the TAP1 team's ability to achieve significant and inspiring results with limited resources. Their vision and execution of this transformation have established TAP1 Kløverbyen as a part of Amager’s cultural landscape. Through their efforts, the area has been enriched, providing a space that supports a wide array of activities and contributes to the community's cultural and economic vitality.
